Feeling the shockwaves in Cuba…
All is well here in Santiago de Cuba. I am studying away with old friends. Internet access is difficult to find, very slow and costs $6 an hour. Had just got back to my accomodation when I felt the building shake not too much but noticably for maybe 10 seconds. Little did I realise the extent of the damage that it had caused.
I am still waiting to find out what has happened to good friends I made in 2006 when I went to Haiti from Santiago de Cuba. It is unbelievable the scale of the suffering. Lets pray that the rescue efforts can be coordinated as swiftly as possible.

There might be some good will people out there who understand the horror of the earthquake and its consequences. So please do have a look into this organisation website
http://caritas.org/
which helps people in Haiti. I truly hope that even 10 penny can make a difference. Unite the cultures – unite the humankind…
Lets all pray for the brothers and sisters in Haiti.
Peace be with you all.
